Dataset on the mechanical and physical characterization of the Ecuadorian Guadua angustifolia kunth bamboo culms belonging to “Caña Mansa” biotype

Raw data on the mechanical and physical properties of the Ecuadorian Guadua angustifolia kunth bamboo culms belonging to “Caña Mansa” biotype are presented. The repository is comprised of the experimental values obtained by compressive, shear, tensile and bending testing to compute the corresponding strengths, following the ISO 22157:2019 standard. Such properties were assessed over three sections of the culm height in dry conditions. Likewise, experimental measurements to calculate the density and moisture content of the specimens after mechanical testing are listed.
