ISO 639.2 Language Code and Name Lookup

This dataset includes lookup tables with codes for the representation of names of languages. This data is sourced from the United States Library of Congress. This data share includes a table with ISO 639.2/alpha-3 codes, as well as English, French, and German names of language. It also includes a table with demo customer data. This secondary data can be used to practice joining the lookup table with the demo customer data.

The Snowflake Marketplace allows you to access live, ready-to-query data and data services. This lookup table is available for all Snowflake customers and can be used to experiment with accessing data from the Marketplace.

Tables included:
- Bibliographic: language code to name lookup based on bibliographic (legacy) standard
- Terminology: language code to name lookup based on terminology standard
- Demo customer data: Table with demo customer data to illustrate how lookups can be applied for your customer data

- ISO 639-1 Code
- English name of language
- French name of language
- German name of language
