How host factors regulate the intestinal mucosal barrier and change the composition of the gut microbiota has not been well defined. Here, by scRNAseq, We found that signaling lymphocytic activation molecule family member 7 (SLAMF7) is a negative regulator of intestinal homeostasis. We found that disruption of SLAMF7 had strong tissue protective and reparative properties in a murine model of intestinal inflammation.
