The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a set of trim elements having a decorative coating and comprising a fixed part forming a facade and at least one movable part forming a flap intended to close off an opening in said facade， the method comprising a step of producing a workpiece blank (1) by overmolding a layer (3) of thermoplastic or thermosetting resin on the rear face of a layer (5) of a decorative coating material， the method being remarkable in that the overmolding step is carried out by injection and comprises the production of at least one groove (13) for precut on all or part of the periphery of a portion of the part blank (1) intended to form a shutter; and in that said or at least one of the grooves (13) shows a flared profile.
