Barkley Canyon Mid-West Plankton Sampler Deployed 2009-09-11

The Plankton Pump 1 was deployed on 2009-09-11 at Barkley Canyon Mid-West. Barkley Canyon Mid-West is a location in Barkley Canyon near a canyon wall. At this location, benthic processes, biodiversity, and sediment dynamics are observed. This device is a Plankton Sampler. Plankton Samplers collect samples of plankton from the water column in a time series. Samples are analyzed upon the recovery of the instrument, to provide qualitative and quantitative information about plankton in the water column. It was deployed on a fixed platform.
