Charges and summonses are recorded in one chronological sequence. The following details are recorded: date of hearing, number of case and whether charge or summons, prosecutor or complainant, defendant, offence or cause of action, Act and Section, fees chargeable or paid previous to hearing, date fees paid, how disposed of, signature of magistrates, whether imprisoned, time allowed, or paid, etc, date of payment and total amount.The following courts are included in the volume: Court of Petty Sessions, Children’s Court, Fair Rents Board, Industrial Magistrates Court and Revision Court.Interspersed throughout the volume are pages reserved for recording the Justices present for the Special Courts of Petty Sessions called for the purpose of revising the jury lists for 1946 to 1949 (and possibly 1950). These pages give the list of Justices summoned and their signature or apology. These courts were held near the end of each year to revise the list for the following year.
