Legumes exhibit selective symbiosis with compatible rhizobia species, and the mutualism is intricately regulated by nitrogen (N) availability.This study provides mechanistic insights into how soybean regulating symbiont selection in response to N availability in legumes-rhizobia mutualism under the fluctuating of nitrogen levels in soils.
