Study aim Evaluate the short-term deterrent effects of a commercial seed treatment, Ibisio® (based on black pepper oleoresin (BPO)) using a GLMM with binomial error structure Data Description datasets_code.zip contains the following files: onechoicetests.csv.csv file with unique-choice tests' dataset using maize seeds, contains the following variables: $ID_individu: individual ring code $Date $H_start: start hour $type: seed type; BPO-treated="I", Control (no treatment)="N", Purple-colored ="V" $n_indiv: number of individuals present at a test when available $Study_site: Jardin des Plantes="JDP", Les Halles="Halles", Gare de Lyon="GDL" $Treatment: Purple color treatment ="Color", Ibisio treatment="Ibisio" $scorebino: binomial consumption score; Unconsumed="0", Consumed="1" indiv_age_2025.csv.csv file, contains the following variables: $ID_individu: individual ring code $age_2025: age in 2025 determined according to standard age codes for passerines. ibisio_deterrence_code.R R script for calibrating the binomial generalized linear mixed model depicted in the manuscript, estimating marginal effects and, computing pairwise comparison of mean estimated parameters; and their associated figures.
