We found that some escherichia coli could restore the growth under the chloramphenicol condition against the resistance gene deletion. Whole-genome sequences of E coli acquired from observation device were conducted to prove that growth recovery under Cp condition was NOT attributed to the acquisitions of unintended resistance-enhancing mutation or the presence of the cat gene untagged from the mcherry gene.
