The synthesis of color-center nanodiamonds (NDs) through the high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) method has attracted increasing attention in recent years due to their unique optical, quantum, and biocompatible properties. The direct synthesis of color-center nanodiamonds (NDs) from small molecular precursors, such as adamantane, using high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) techniques offers a novel and controlled route to the formation of nanodiamonds with integrated color centers, presenting significant advantages in precision, scalability, and material purity.
In this proposal, we synthesized a series of nanodiamond products with different color centers through a series of molecular precursors such as adamantane and its derivatives. We tried to investigate the reaction process and probe the transformation mechanism by in situ XRD technique to support the scalable, precise, and versatile method for producing high-quality color-center nanodiamonds.
