Gene expression study of Calotropis procera to identify and analyze the genes expressed in different tissues in normal conditions.

In this study, we used customized oligo-array in symbiotic association with the RNA-SEQ tool. Sequences generated previously in our lab through RNA-SEQ were validated on Agilent microarray platform. Gene expression in different tissues of Calotropis plant was studied. Whole plant was considered as control in this study and leaf, stem and root specific genes were mined out in reference to whole plant. Specific genes in a tissue, common genes in all the tissues as well as highly abundant genes were identified from the dataset.
