CVAT counts: Spectacled eider winter aerial survey 2020 counts from photos made using CVAT software

We annotated a subset of photos taken during the 2020 March 03-04 aerial survey of spectacled eiders in the Bering Sea using Computer Vision Annotation Tool (CVAT) software (version 1.1.0; https://github.com/openvinotoolkit/cvat). Annotations made to the images were used to count individual spectacled eiders in plumage color categories. Counts from each image are compiled in data table spei_cvat_winter_2020_counts.csv. Each record is an individual eider within a digital photo that was annotated in CVAT and columns are characteristics of the annotation frame drawn around the eider that indicate image quality within the annotation frame, plumage color, species, and substrate. Protocols for annotating photos to determine counts are described in the standard operating procedure document filename sop_spei_photo_analysis_20210709.pdf submitted as a product under this project.
