Dataset used in the main figures of global evapotranspiration trends paper

These dataset include four m files used to generate four figures and generated datasets, used in the global evapotranspiration paper. Figures 1-4 are used for Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 in the main text respectively. Genearted datasets include: Figure 1 dataset: Mean_Annual_ET_GlobalBasins.nc, for mean annual ET map; Sens_Slope_Trends_GlobalBasins.nc for Trend in annual ET map; Figure 2 dataset: ET_Anomalies_Nino34_2000-2022.xlsx, annual ET time series for global, the Nothern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere, respectively. Figure 3 dataset: dominant_drivers_ET_trend.nc, for the dominant driver of ET trend in each basin relative_contributions_ET_trend.nc, for the relative contribution of the dominant driver Figure 4 dataset: Emergent_Constraint_Scatterplot_Data.xlsx, for the scatterplot of ET trend (2000-2022) versus ET change (2025-2050 minus 1981-2014) for global, NH and SH, respectively. Emergent_Constraint_Boxplot_Data.xlsx, for boxplots. There are nine columns. First three are for the global, middle three for NH, and the last three for SH. For each regime, the three columns are for raw changes estimated from ESMs, constrained using the global ET trend, and constrained using the hemispheric ET trends, respectively. The shp file for the simulation basins is also provided. We also provide MATLAB code files corresponding to each figure: Figure1.mfor Figure 1, Figure2.mfor Figure 2, Figure3.mfor Figure 3, and Figure4.mfor Figure 4.
