Activated Charcoal and Aged Palm Sap on Laying Performance

The data on the Effect of activated Charcoal and Aged Palm Sap-Supplemented Diets in Laying hens comprises of data on 1.     Laying performance and egg quality traits such as average initial and final weights, weight change, average feed intake, feed conversion ratio, egg mass, egg number, average egg weight and henday production percentage per week. Others include egg external and internal quality paramters collected bi-weekly such as egg length and width, shell weight and thickness, albumen and yolk indices, Haugh unit etc.2.     Haematological and Serum Biochemical parameters including liver enzyme and serum minerals collected from 12 hens per treatment3.     Reproductive hormones and morphometry of laying hens such as luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, estrogen and progesterone, average ovarian and follicular weights of hens and their relative weights, stroma weight, average lengths and weights of oviduct.Data was collected from 240 healthy Isa Brown laying hens of 48 weeks old, with similar average body weight and laying performance. The study design was completely randomized, comprising of five (5) dietary treatments. Each treatment group had six (6) replicates, with eight (8) hens per replicate (n=48 hens per treatment).Column headers represent the individual parametres determined while the row headers represent the individual treatment and replicate data.Data is stored in excel format
