Targeted and Troublesome: Tracking and Advertising on Children's Websites

This dataset contains data from seven web crawls conducted in April 2023 using an enhanced version of DuckDuckGo’s Tracker Radar Collector. It was collected in our study on tracking and targeted advertising on child-directed websites.
Our analysis reveals a widespread presence of trackers and targeted advertisements, often without obtaining adequate parental consent. Additionally, the study exposes instances of inappropriate ads on child-directed websites, highlighting the need for stronger privacy protections.
