Transcriptomic changes in lung tissue and blood following infection in Syrian hamsters vaccinated with heat-activated RSV

Syrian hamsters that have been immunised with an inactivated respiratory syncytial virus (HI-RSV) vaccine have been observed to exhibit enhanced respiratory disease (ERD) following RSV infection. In order to investigate the mechanisms of ERD, a comprehensive transcriptome analysis was conducted on the lung tissues and blood samples from the hamsters. This analysis enabled the identification of key signalling pathways that play a major role. The study involved a comparative analysis of the immunised and control groups.
