Group purchases for returned soldiers settlement holdings were introduced by the Returned Soldiers Settlement (Amendment) Act 1917 (Act No.24, 1917). Only three applications are recorded in this volume. They are from Thomas William Rourke, Wallace Oscar Sinden and Thomas Richard Evans. All are noted as becoming Bingara Soldiers group purchases.
