资源简介:
Recent studies show that conventional treatment for comorbid insomnia and depression, which focuses mainly on depression, has limited effectiveness. Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) improves both insomnia and depressive symptoms, but evidence on its cost-effectiveness remains limited. This thesis used a stepped approach, including five studies, to assess the cost-effectiveness of CBT-I. The key finding is that CBT-I, when used concurrently with antidepressants or added to treatment-as-usual for depression, was cost-effective in the Australian context. Treating both conditions was found to significantly improve quality of life, reduce healthcare costs, and enhance work productivity compared to treating depression alone.
