A comprehensive inventory of flood events in HMA, covering ten major regions including the Inner Plateau, Himalaya, Tien Shan, Hengduan Mountains, and the Karakoram, etc (Fig. 1a). A total of 1015 flood events are detected between 1950 and 2023 , including 261 pluvial-induced floods (PFs), 220 snowmelt-induced floods (SFs), 427 GLOFs, and 107 landslide-dammed lake outburst floods (LLOFs).
