资源简介:
Registers of applications to the Industrial Commission of New South Wales showing lodgment date, matter number, nature of the matter and outcome. The Industrial Commission could make awards fixing rates of pay and working conditions and determine the standard hours to be worked in industries within its jurisdiction and had power to determine any "industrial matter". The Commission had authority to adjudicate in cases of illegal strikes, lockouts or unlawful dismissals, and could summon persons to a compulsory conference and hear appeals from determinations of the subsidiary industrial tribunals, such as conciliation committees. The registers show the matter registration number; the date of filing; the type of matter; a description of the nature of the application; the date of hearing; the names of the parties appearing; and the outcome of the matter. Separate registers were kept for Notifications of Industrial Disputes and applications to the conciliation committee (NRS 5486?)The public office creating the registers was the Industrial Registry, but the matters were registered for hearing and determination by the members of the Industrial Commission, not by the Industrial Registrar.Similar registers were maintained by the Industrial Registry for applications to the Industrial Court - NRS 5459 1905 to 1929
