This data set contains data from the NOAA P-3 aircraft tail mounted X-band Doppler radar for its flights during the VORTEX-SE 2017 field season over the southeastern United States. Each file is one 360 degree rotation and the antenna rotates 15 times per minute. There are two files per rotation; MA files looking ~20 degrees forward of the heading, and SL files looking ~20 degrees aft of the heading. The data are in the cfradial format converted from their original format using the NCAR RadxConvert software.
