Alphabetical sequences of authors in biomedical articles (1980-2015)

This is the data that was used for the figures in this paper: https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0184601<br>It countains information on alphabetical sequences of authors detected in more than 8.8 millions biomedical articles published over the 1980-2015 period. <br>The tab-delimited txt file countains the following information:<b>ID_article </b>: local unique identifier for each article.<b>N</b>: number of authors of the article.<b>Pub_year</b>: publication year.<b>ID_seq</b>: unique identifer for each author sequence within an article.<b>Seq_begin</b>: rank in the byline of the first author of the alphabetical sequence<b>Seq_end</b>: rank in the byline of the last author of the alphabetical sequence<b>R</b>: number of authors in the alphabetical sequence<b>P<sub>i</sub></b>: probability that the alphabetical sequence is intentional<br>More details are provided in the paper.
