Active AirCore trace gas measurements at Mount Etna from the 2024 EarthCriSys campaign

Description This dataset contains trace gas measurements taken using instrumentation carried by a Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) during several flights conducted between 2. and 11. July 2024, in the summit crater area of Mount Etna (Sicily, Italy), to probe volcanic plumes. Measurements of several species along the flightpaths are available from: active AirCore sampling technique (post-flight analysis using a Picarro G2401 cavity ring down spectrometer for mole fractions of CO2, CH4 and CO) Multi-GAS sensor package (CO2, SO2) Files are in csv format and include calibration scales and supporting data. Flight dates and times are indicated for each file, representing the air sample collection and sensor measurement. Trace gas ratios form the avtive AirCore device and auxiliary data during the plume encounters for the whole campaign period are summarized in a separate file. Please note the important README file.
