Development of novel microsatellite markers in Buchanania cochinchinensis (Lour.) M.R.Almeida. Buchanania cochinchinensis

Buchanania cochinchinensis is an important non-wood tree species found in deciduous forests throughout the greater part of India. Its kernel is of very high value and this species is vital for forest dependents and tribal in forest fringe areas. Presently, no genomic information available for this forest species. Therefore, study was undertaken to develop novel microsatellite markers in this socio-economically imporatant wild tree species.
