Supplementary data of spatiotemporal changes of soil organic carbon in intensive croplands over three decades

The data were used for a study region (Hangjiahu plain) situated in the East China (118.8°~121.3°E, 29.9°~31.3°N).The legacy soil data comprises points from the second soil survey conducted in Zhejiang province covering our study region during the 1980s (1979-1985) and the farmland soil survey points from the 2000s (1999-2002). A total of 455 farmland soil surface (0-20 cm) survey points were collected, precisely matched with the geographical locations in the 1980s and 2000s. Explanatory covariates including natural factors (climate, topography, edaphic properties) as well as intensive farmland management (land-use changes, cropping systems, and fertilization) were inclued in this shared dataset.
