Dietzia sp. strains are frequently detected and isolated from oil reservoirs. Their contributions in improving oil recovery in Indigenous Microbial Enhanced Oil recovery (IMEOR) field trials are however ambiguous. Here, contributions of Dietzia in IMEOR process were investigated in laboratory and field trial. Specifically, surfactants production and changes of oil properties by an isolated reservoir Dietzia sp. ZQ-4 and dynamic changes of Dietzia in an IMEOR field trial were investigated.
