Total carbon stocks, soils data up to 3m depth and tree height and DBH allometry for the Amacayacu Forest Dynamics Plot.

This data package supports the article “Local scale carbon stock measurements, including deep soil layers, in a terra firme forest in northwestern Amazon” (Journal of Tropical Ecology, DOI: https://doi.org/10.1017/S0266467424000270) and related data, carried out at the 25-ha Amacayacu Forest Dynamics Plot. This data package contains 5 datasets: dbh_height_trees_amacayacu_plot.csv: diameter at breast height (DBH) and tree height measurements for 9112 trees. carbon_stocks_amacayacu_plot.csv: carbon stocks for soils at depth soil classes (0 to 3m depth), woody debris components, and aboveground and belowground biomass at tree size classes for 1-ha subplots. soils_carbon_amacayacu_plot.csv: C and N content, weight of roots, stones and dry soil, and bulk density for soil samples for 1-ha subplots at depth soil classes (0 to 3m depth). Also the estimation of carbon content per hectare stored in soils and roots. pits_bulk_density_amacayacu_plot.csv: bulk density for depth soil classes (0 to 3m depth) at various sampled pits. field_notes_soils_sampling_amacayacu_plot.csv: original field notes for all depth soil classes (0 to 3m depth) sampled for the soils dataset (soils_amacayacu_plot.csv)
