Black and white lantern slide showing a large bamboo plant at Zomba, a city in southern Nyasaland in the Shire Highlands. Two European men stand under the plant, who may be officers from the King's African Rifles. They wear shorts, shirts, puttees and pith helmets. This slide comes from a set on the activities of the King’s African Rifles battalions in Nyasaland. It was originally held by the Church of Scotland, and generated by J.W MacKay.
