The polymorphism of the MHC-F gene in various non-human primate species was investigated. Species specific primers were designed, and PCR was performed on cDNA. In most cases the two alleles were analyzed by direct Sanger sequencing on related animals. A cloning was performed when it was not possible to identify the alleles.
