Dataset for High-Precision Forest Micro-Gap Extraction and Edge-Effect Analysis Using Airborne Laser Scanning
收藏资源简介:
This dataset supports the study entitled “High-Precision Extraction of Forest Micro-Gaps Based on the Polar Coordinates Conversion Method and Scale Response of Their Edge Effects.” The dataset contains airborne laser scanning (ALS)-derived data and associated reference information from two Pinus densata forest plots with contrasting stand structures. The data include forest micro-gap candidate regions, point-cloud-derived boundary information, reference micro-gap boundaries and areas, and variables used for evaluating the performance of the Polar Coordinates Conversion (PCC) method. The dataset also includes data used to analyze canopy height heterogeneity and the spatial response of forest micro-gap edge effects at different distances from gap boundaries. These data can be used to reproduce the main analyses presented in the study, including micro-gap boundary extraction, accuracy assessment, parameter sensitivity analysis, and fine-scale forest structural characterization.
