This study investigates the effects of wilting and additives on the fermentation quality and greenhouse gas emissions of Morus alba L. (mulberry) silage. High-throughput sequencing (16S rRNA and ITS) was employed to analyze the bacterial and fungal community dynamics. The results reveal that Pediococcus serves as a key acidification driver, inhibiting the hub bacterium Kosakonia. Furthermore, the study identifies a microbial N Loop mechanism contributing to N2O emissions, involving heterotrophic nitrification by Diaporthe and denitrification by Paramyrothecium (carrying the P450nor gene). The interaction between wilting and additives significantly influences the microbial community structure and silage quality.
