SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an apparatus for forming lignin fraction (6) and lignocellulose fraction (7) from crude lignin (1)， which is formed by treatment using processing step (24) selected from enzymatic treatment， ionic liquid treatment and combinations thereof， where the method involves: treating raw lignin (1) by separating lignin on at least one lignin extraction step (3)， on which the raw lignin is treated to isolate lignin by heat treatment， hydrothermal treatment， hydrolysis with diluted acid or autohydrolysis and to form two solid phases， and separation of lignin fraction (6) and lignocellulose fraction (7) in at least one step (5) for separating the solid phase from the solid phase after separating the lignin. Additionally， invention relates to lignin fraction and lignocellulose fraction.
