BFI-2-R

The Big Five Inventory-2 (BFI-2) is one of the most used questionnaires to assess personality traits, distinguishing 15 facets. Despite its usage, there is still room for research to improve its psychometric properties. We applied the Rasch analysis (RA) to transform the BFI-2 into an instrument consisting of actual interval scales (obtaining the BFI-2-R), involving 5362 Italian adults. Five confirmatory factor analyses supported the three-facet structure of each trait. This structure resulted invariant at the scalar level across sex. For each facet, we confirmed the RA assumptions (presence of monotonicity, local independence, unidimensionality, and absence of differential item functioning). We then found that our data fit the Rasch model for each facet. Finally, we documented the discriminant and convergent validity of the BFI-2-R. Overall, the findings supported the goodness of the BFI-2-R and permit to extend research on the Big Five with an instrument considering the properties of fundamental measurement.

《五大人格特质量表》（BFI-2）乃是目前评估人格特质之问卷中最为广泛应用的工具之一，其区分了十五个维度。尽管应用广泛，但在提升其心理测量特性方面仍有研究空间。本研究采用拉施分析（RA）将BFI-2转化为由实际区间尺度构成的工具（即BFI-2-R），涉及5362名意大利成年人。五次确认性因素分析支持了每个特质的三维度结构。这一结构在性别水平上保持一致性。对于每个维度，我们验证了拉施分析的基本假设（包括单调性、局部独立性、单维性和无差异项目功能）。随后，我们发现我们的数据符合每个维度的拉施模型。最终，我们记录了BFI-2-R的区分效度和收敛效度。总体而言，研究结果证实了BFI-2-R的良好性质，并允许在考虑基本测量属性的基础上，扩展五大人格特质的研究。
