This dataset contains temperature and pH data collected at 30-minute intervals during experiments performed in a water recirculating flume. The flume simulated a river. The flume contained sediment and water. The flume had the following parameters: 7m(L)x0.3m(W) with 5m(L)x0.3m(W)x0.7m(H) sediment bed, a 0.12m channel above the sediment, and nine 0.45m(L) consecutive bedforms with 0.07m crests. Surface flow velocity = 1.1 cm/s. Sand permeability = 1.25e-09 m^2. The temperature was monitored using a set of thermistors (Onset, HOBO). The dataset includes: - Air temperature at 4cm and 20cm above water, and water temperature in the channel at the sediment-water interface - Porewater temperatures at 10cm, 20cm, 40cm, and 60cm depths The pH was monitored using YSI Exo-3 sonde (YSI Inc. / Xylem Inc. Yellow Spring Ohio, USA) positioned in the flume channel. Changes in pH were induced by short, 24 hour additions of dry leaves to the flume channel.
