This dataset contains cleaned and harmonized household- and individual-level consumption data collected in the communes of Boukombé and Natitingou in northern Benin. It integrates three complementary survey components: a 7-day food frequency questionnaire assessing individual dietary intake and seasonality of focal crops, a multi-pass 24-hour dietary recall capturing household food consumption and dietary diversity, and a structured survey on knowledge, attitudes, and constraints related to the consumption of fonio and jute mallow. The dataset includes dietary outcomes, food group indicators, and computed nutrient intakes at recipe level for selected crops, as well as aggregated nutrient intake at household level based on focal crop consumption. The data support analyses of dietary patterns, agrobiodiversity use, seasonal consumption, and nutritional contributions of underutilized crops. Methodology:Data were collected through face-to-face interviews using structured questionnaires administered to households, with women serving as primary respondents due to their role in food acquisition and preparation. Individual dietary intake was assessed using a 7-day food frequency questionnaire with standardized portion size categories supported by reference objects and images. Household consumption was captured using a qualitative multi-pass 24-hour dietary recall covering foods prepared and consumed within the household. Dietary data were classified into established food group systems, including Minimum Dietary Diversity for Women, Household Dietary Diversity Score, Dietary Quality Questionnaire, and agrobiodiversity indicators. A Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices module was administered to assess perceptions, beliefs, and constraints related to fonio and jute mallow consumption. Nutrient intakes were calculated from reported recipes and aggregated at household level.
