Flavobacteriaceae bacterium W22 Genome sequencing and assembly

Flavobacteriaceae bacterium W22 was isolated from water column of tree hole, the native mosquito habitat.Flavobacteria can be persisted in the feeding zone for long period, efficiently ingested and consumed by several including Anopheles gambiae and Aedes triseriatus. Genetic modification of flavobacteria isolated from tree holes to deliver toxins from B. thuringiensis or B. sphaericus proved to be as a good strategy for development of the biocontrol reagents against disease-vector mosquitoes.
