Meteorological data were collected from the Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications version 2 (Merra-2) reanalysis meteorological dataset from 2002 to 2017. River inflow data were obtained from the Taihu Basin Authority of Ministry of Water Resources. Water samples were collected at 14 sites located at the inflows and outflows of Taihu Lake.
