Anonymized notes from interviews in terms of the project: The impact of the political leadership on the reconsidering of the EU eastern policy in the context of the war in Ukraine

The interviews were conducted as part of the National Science Centre (NCN) Miniatura project 2022/06/X/HS5/01037, entitled " The Impact of the Political Leadership on the Reconsidering of the EU Eastern Policy in the Context of the War in Ukraine." The interviews were conducted individually and in groups and were focused on the role of leadership of individual and institutional political actors in the process of the European Union's Eastern policy transformation. Issues discussed included EU enlargement, EU cooperation with candidate countries, sanctions policy towards Russia, the role of individual political leaders, the evolving position of the European Parliament on the EU enlargement reform, cooperation between EU institutions on changes in EU foreign policy, and the prospects for EU-Russia relations. Data from the interviews are coded. The collection consists of notes generated from seven interviews conducted as part of research trips to Brussels in 2023.
