This paper investigated the role of lung epithelium in IL-17 signaling in vivo: mice with conditional deletion of Il17ra or Il17rc in Scgb1a1-expressing cells displayed an impaired ability to recruit neutrophils into the airway lumen as well as reduced clearance of K. pneumoniae after a mucosal challenge. RNA-seq was conducted on bronchial brushes from IL-17RC conditional KO mice 6h after intranasal IL-17 administration.
