Eucalyptus grandis transcriptional responses to Austropuccinia psidii challenge

Austropuccinia psidii has a very wide host range and causes devastation on various Myrtaceae species globally, including Eucalyptus. Resistant and susceptible genotypes of Eucalyptus grandis from the Australian natural range were challenged with a pandemic biotype of A. psidii and leaf material harvested at 4 time points post inoculation, covering early and late infection times. Host responses were investigated relative to mock-inoculated samples to identify mechanisms of resistance against the pathogen.
