资源简介:
The age model for the upper 49 m of Hole U1381C is based on radiocarbon dates, graphical tuning of the benthic δ18O record and biostratigraphic and paleomagnetic events. The age control of the upper sections (4.3 mbsf) is constrained by seven accelerator mass spectrometry 14C ages on planktonic foraminifera from the >150 μm size fraction. The accelerator mass spectrometry ages were measured at the Center for Applied Isotope Studies, University of Georgia (U.S.A.) and were calibrated (2σconfidence limits) with the Calib 7.0 software using the Marine13 calibration dataset (Reimer et al., 2013). The oldest radiocarbon age was too old for calibration and was discarded for the age model construction. The last occurrence of the planktonic foraminifera Globigerinoides ruber (pink variety) occurring at 8.95 mbsf which corresponds to an age of ∼127 ka (Ivanova et al., 2012), was also used as a dating point. Beyond the radiocarbon limits, the U1381C benthic δ18O of Uvigerina auberiana from the 250-300 µm size fraction was correlated graphically to the orbitally tuned LR04 benthic δ18O stack record (Lisiecki and Raymo, 2005) as indicated in Diz et al., (2018). The Brunhes-Matuyama boundary found at 49 mbsf (Li et al., 2015) is considered as additional tie point.
