Transcriptomics in the feeding and reproductive stages of the South American cactus moth

This dataset accompanies our study on the transcriptomic profiles of Cactoblastis cactorum, an invasive moth species affecting cactus populations. We analyzed RNA-seq data from individuals at key developmental and sex-specific stages, larvae (feeding stage), adult males, and adult females (reproductive stages), to investigate gene expression dynamics associated with feeding behavior and reproductive function. Our objective was to identify genes and pathways involved in physiological processes relevant to pest behavior, development, and reproduction. This dataset includes processed RNA-seq data, transcript quantification tables, differential expression results, and Gene Ontology enrichment analyses. This data provide a valuable resource for future studies on lepidopteran genomics, pest control strategies, and functional genomics in invasive species.
