The Nanomaterial-Biological Interaction Knowledge Base (NBI) is a database focused on nanomaterial toxicology and biological interactions. Co-developed by Oregon State University and ONAMI (Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute), this database collects characterization data, synthesis methods of nanomaterials, and information on their interactions across different biological organizational levels (molecular, cellular, and organismal). It aims to provide objective explanatory mechanisms for the exposure effects of nanomaterials for industry, academia, the public, and regulatory agencies.
