Development and validation of SSRs in Shorea robusta.

The assessment of diversity and variability is critical in knowing the nuclear zones of the hotspots of diversity of a species; and thus, could be important for the conservation protection and management of the forest genetic resources (FGRs). To maintain the existence of Shorea robusta forests, the development of microsatellite markers (SSRs) will be of immense significance to understand the gene diversity estimates and further conservation and management of this species.
