资源简介:
Carbon availability often limits photosynthesis, particularly under drought conditions, causing stomatal closure. Root-based uptake of inorganic carbon has been suggested as an additional carbon source. We also optimised a low-concentration, beneficial bicarbonate treatment. In our experiments, a growth promotion system was established for Arabidopsis thaliana (Columbia) using 2 mM NaHCO3 in a hydroponic solution (1/4 strength MS salts) at pH 5.6, which improved the growth and physiological parameters. Our study focused on the mechanism, physiology, and effects of root-based inorganic carbon uptake. To this end, total RNA of control root (MSRC1, MSRC2, MSRC3), control rosette leaf (MSLC1, MSLC2, MSLC3), bicarbonate-treated root (MSRT1, MSRT2, MSRT3) and bicarbonate treated rosette leaf (MSLC1, MSLC2, MSLC3) samples were sent to the Novogene company for transcriptome analysis.
