Metatranscriptomic analysis of freshwater harmful algal bloom microcosm experiments conducted in Lake Erie, Ohio. Microcosms (4L) were treated with elevated hydrogen peroxide to assess microbial community responses to oxidative stress and compared to untreated controls. RNA samples were collected at five timepoints: 0 hours, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 8 hours, and 24 hours post-treatment.
