chromosome-level genome assembly of the mud carp (Cirrhinus molitorella)

We constructed high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly of C. molitorella using PacBio sequencing and Hi-C data. The evolutionary history of C. molitorella was studied by inferring dynamic changes of ancestral population sizes. The genetic basis of adaptation in C. molitorella was dissected by performing gene family expansion and contraction analyses and identifying positively selected genes (PSGs). This provides the basis for the ecological adaptability of C. molitorella.
