Geosmin synthase protein and their producers

This is a reference database by downloading the protein sequences associated with geosmin synthase (1451 sequences) from the Protein database of NCBI (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/protein/, accessed in November 2021) and visually removing any entry that did not mention geosmin synthase or that was from a eukaryotic species (Protein_Geosmin.fasta). We also downloaded the taxonomy linked to each protein and added the taxonomy of each species (Producers_Geosmin.txt).
