Main Endeavour Field South Benthic and Resistivity Sensors Deployed 2023-06-30

The OceanEngUW BARS V2 201 was deployed on 2023-06-30 at Main Endeavour Field South. Main Endeavour Field South is at the south end of the Main Endeavour Field located along the Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a Benthic and Resistivity Sensors. Benthic and Resistivity Sensors (BARS) collect measurements from hydrothermal vents, using sensors to measure resistivity, temperature, eH (oxidizing nature of seawater components) and hydrogen. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
