资源简介:
A coastal vulnerability index (CVI) is created for the Philippines using freely available remote sensing data to provide an indication of the relative level of risk to sea-level change given the observed changes since 1992. The differences found along the coast are highly dependent on the sea-level change rate, coastal slope, wave height, and tidal range. Shoreline change rates would make this CVI better but geomorphological information is not readily accessible. Users should be aware that more local information can only improve the usefulness of the index, which should be revised to suit a particular context. Data released here has been described in the presentation at a conference on internal migration and displacement in Davao City in May 2012 (see links). A description of the procedure, data sources, and results are included in a separate file.
